JEWEL MC
JEWEL implements modeling of medium-jet interactions in heavy ion collisions. We generated 8M events of Pb+Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV (corresponds to LHC Run2 energy) in 0-10% centrality interval. Four samples of different hardness of the hard process in the following intervals were generated: 60-160 GeV, 160-400 GeV, 400-800 GeV, and 800-1600 GeV.
Each tar file corresponds to one of 4 PT intervals set for JEWEL event generator
In ‘data’ subfolder of those archives, you will find 100 hepmc files for 20k events each. Logs of these hepmc files are located in ‘logs’ subfolder
‘sh_files’ and ‘params’ folders are used for event generation and have no other use.
The JEWEL setting can be found on page 15 of this document.
The files can be downloaded under this link.
This work was done with undergraduate student Filip Maxin.
Note: The subtraction of thermal momentum components required when including recoil effects should take place in the analysis of the events.
Pythia8 MC
Pythia is a program to generate high-energy collision events. We used Pythia 8.306 with the following setting to generate pp events with 5.02 TeV center-of-mass energy in different intervals of pTHat.
The 5x8M of pp events in different intervals of pTHat is available. Please contact me in case of interest.
